The Shareek Program, in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the Ministry of Investment, and the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), organized a workshop focused on the communications and information technology sector.
The workshop reviewed the latest developments in the national strategy for communications and information technology and the anticipated returns from its implementation. It also addressed key regulatory challenges facing the sector and discussed proposed solutions.
The sessions highlighted promising opportunities to stimulate innovation and attract targeted investments across the sector’s subfields.
Participants included representatives from government entities and leading companies in the communications and information technology industry. Discussions centered on enhancing the regulatory environment, overcoming obstacles, and activating enablers that support the expansion of investments in emerging technologies. The workshop further emphasized the importance of strengthening partnerships between the public and private sectors to enhance competitiveness and the investment climate, in line with national efforts to advance the sector, achieve sustainable development goals, and realize the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
This workshop comes as part of the Shareek Program’s ongoing efforts to empower large companies to invest in projects of strategic impact. The program aims to achieve this by fostering cooperation between the public and private sectors, providing necessary enablers, and streamlining procedures to enhance the private sector’s contribution to GDP in line with Vision 2030 targets.
