The Large Companies Investment Committee chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Council of Economic and Development Affairs, issued a decision appointing His Excellency Mr. Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al-Arifi as CEO of the Private Sector Partnership Program (Shareek).

 

His Excellency Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Arifi holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Babson College in Massachusetts, USA, and a Master of Business Administration degree from Stanford University.

Al-Arifi possesses extensive leadership and practical experience in both the public and private sectors. He currently serves as an advisor at the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers and previously held the positions of Assistant Minister of Transport and Logistics and Chief Financial Officer at Jadwa Investment. He also served as Director of Treasury at the National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia (Bahri) and held several positions at the Saudi Capital Market Authority, most recently as the head of the financial and investment sector listings. Al-Arifi has served on numerous boards of directors across various sectors.

 

The "Shareek" program aims to strengthen partnerships with the private sector and increase the contribution of national companies to the sustainability of the national economy.

 

His Royal Highness the Crown Prince launched the program on 17 Sha'ban 1442 AH, corresponding to March 30, 2021, as part of his efforts to achieve the economic and developmental goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which aims to build a vibrant and thriving private sector.

 

The program plays a key role in the Kingdom's economic growth and development, and works to support and empower local companies to reach a domestic investment volume of five trillion riyals by the end of 2030.

 

The program is also designed to increase the resilience of the Saudi economy and provide job opportunities for Saudi men and women across various sectors in the Kingdom.
