Private sector partnership program (Shareek) in cooperation with the Ministry of Investment, the Capital Market Authority, the Financial Sector Development Program, and Saudi Tadawul Group, organized a specialized workshop for the financial services sector - focused on domestic debt capital market - on Tuesday, 18 Safar 1447 Hijri, corresponding to August 12, 2025.
The workshop discussed key topics aimed at enabling large companies to contribute to the growth of the domestic debt capital market. These included raising awareness about debt instrument issuance and regulatory updates, analyzing related local challenges, and exploring institutional enablers and support mechanisms necessary for developing the Kingdom’s debt capital market.
The workshop was attended by representatives from relevant government entities and large companies, who exchanged expertise and viewpoints, reviewed best practices to develop the debt capital market regulatory environment, addressed existing challenges, and explored supportive enablers to expand investment activities in debt instruments. It also sought to strengthen public-private partnerships in line with the market’s growth, enhance its efficiency, support major companies’ local investment plans, and contribute to sustainable economic development objectives.
The organization of this workshop comes as part of Shareek program's efforts to enable large companies to invest in strategic projects with sustainable economic impact, by strengthening partnerships between the public and private sectors, providing necessary enablers, and streamlining supportive procedures to boost the private sector’s contribution to the Kingdom’s GDP, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
